Delete from the Hamanio mobile app

This is the fastest route and completes without contacting us. In the Hamanio app:

1. Open the Profile tab and tap the rightmost icon in the top-right corner — the gear (⚙️).

2. Scroll to the "Delete account" section at the bottom of the screen.

3. Tap "Delete account", then type DELETE in the confirmation box to confirm you understand the action.

4. Tap "Permanently delete my account". You will be signed out immediately.

Delete by email

If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, email support@hamanio.com from the email address registered to your Hamanio account, with the subject "Delete my account".

We verify that the request comes from the account owner before acting on it, and we complete verified requests within 30 days.

What happens after you request deletion

Your account is deactivated immediately: you are signed out, your profile stops appearing in search, talent results and the public feed, and you can no longer buy, sell or send messages.

Your account and data are then permanently erased 30 days after the request. This grace period exists so that an accidental deletion, or one made by someone who gained access to your account, can be undone.

To cancel during those 30 days, sign back in to the mobile app, open Settings, and tap "Cancel deletion". After the 30 days have passed, deletion is final and your data cannot be recovered.

Data that is permanently deleted

Your account and sign-in credentials, including any linked Google sign-in.

Your profile: name, username, headline, bio, avatar, links, skills, role and institution affiliation.

Your projects and portfolio, including every file, image and video you uploaded, and their views, likes and comments.

Your marketplace listings and the files attached to them. If you have sold a listing, buyers will no longer be able to download the files after your account is erased — settle anything outstanding with them first.

Your messages and conversations, your points and level history, your saved preferences, your AI assistant usage, and your push-notification tokens for this device and any others.

Your subscription record. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel billing arranged through a third party — see "Before you delete" below.

Data that is retained, and for how long

Records of completed purchases and sales are retained for 7 years from the date of the transaction. We are required to keep these for tax, accounting, and anti-fraud purposes, and because they are also the counterparty’s record of a transaction they were part of.

These retained records are de-identified at the moment your account is deleted: the link between the transaction and you is removed, leaving the amount, date, currency and status with no name, email or profile attached. They cannot be used to identify you or to re-create your account.

Aggregated and anonymous statistics that never identified you individually — such as total platform sales or overall usage counts — are not affected by deletion, because they contain no personal data.

Backups are retained on a rolling basis and are overwritten within 30 days of deletion.

Before you delete

If you have money in your seller balance, request and receive your payout first. Deleting your account closes the balance, and a pending payout will block the deletion request until it is settled.

If you own an institution on Hamanio, transfer ownership or close the institution first. Institution accounts cannot be deleted while they still have students and records attached to them.

If you subscribe to a paid plan, cancel it through the store or provider you bought it from — Google Play, the App Store, Khalti or Stripe. Deleting your Hamanio account does not cancel a subscription billed by a third party.

Files you purchased from other creators will no longer be downloadable once your account is deleted. Download anything you want to keep before you start.
